Hyunkyu Park is a post doctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Davis. He received his Ph.D in mechanical engineering in 2009 at the University of California, Davis, MS in mechanical engineering in 2001 and BS in both mechanical and electrical engineering (double) in 1999 from Ajou University, South Korea. His master study was on active balancing for rotating machinery using an automatic balancing device. From 2002-2003, he joined Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH) as a research engineer. He carried out mechanical characterization of plastic body panel for next generation vehicles.
