obtained her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2003. Currently, she is at UC Berkeley where she received her M.S. in 2007 and is currently working towards her PhD, both in Mechanical Engineering. Under the supervision of Dr. Liwei Lin, her research involves the characterization of electron transfer from biocatalysts for energy applications through the realization of micro-electro-mechanical-systems. She has been involved in a number of projects ranging from micro-combustion to sustainable housing design. She is the recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, the UC Berkeley Chancellor’s Predoctoral Fellowship, and is a Sloan fellow. Email: erikaparra@fas.harvard.edu
