Zhiyong Fan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in physical electronics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 1998 and 2001, and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from University of California, Irvine in December, 2007. His Ph.D. research involved synthesis and characterization of metal-oxide nanowires for nanoelectronics and sensing applications. Currently he is a post-doctoral researcher in EECS of UC Berkeley, working with Prof. Ali Javey. His current research mainly focuses on assembly and integration of semiconducting nanowires for high performance nanoelectronics and energy harvesting. Email: zfan@eecs.berkeley.edu
