Hongsoo Choi received Ph.D. from the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Washington State University. His Ph.D. research was on modeling, fabrication, and characterization of piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers for medical imaging and other applications. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at University of California, Davis with research emphasis on aluminum nitride piezoelectric micromachined ultrasound transducers (pMUTs) for use in the velocity detection module of a personal navigation unit. His research interest is in MEMS, Bio-MEMS, modeling, solid mechanics, and ultrasound imaging. Hongsoo Choi is a member of IEEE UFFC Section and ASME. Home Page
