Paul obtained his Masters at Stanford University with a specialization in Mechanics of Materials. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford in June 2008, working on simulations and experimental characterization of nanowires. He was a recipient of the Harvey Fellowship. Paul then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of California, Berkeley, Department of Electrical Engineering, as a member of the Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center with a joint appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Materials Division Center of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
