Ramin Banan Sadeghian
PostDoc 2010

Ramin Banan Sadeghian is an electrical engineer specializing in VLSI processes, electron devices, microsensors, nanofabrication, industrial automation, bioinstrumentation, sustainable energy sources, and thermoelectrics. His current research in Dr. Khademhossini's group is on the development of nanostructured-based biochemical sensors that offer an exceptional specificity and sensitivity along with high spatial and temporal resolution.
Dr. Sadeghian’s research interests include fabrication and characterization of nanoscale electron devices, environmental monitoring/respiratory gas detection, energy sources based on microscale reverse electrodialysis, and Monte Carlo simulation of thermocooling effects. He has worked in various fields in the private and public sectors since 1997, including the R&D center of Iran Khodro Industrial Group where he worked on automotive electronics and vehicle security systems and contributed to the design of the first prevailing Iranian national automobile, Samand (codename X7).
Dr. Sadeghian earned a Ph.D. electrical engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, 2007), where he focused on nanowire-based gas ionization sensors and electron field-emission devices. He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronic engineering from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, 1998) and K.N. Toosi University of Technology (Tehran, 2002), respectively.
