David Bindel received B.S. degrees in mathematics and computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park (1999) and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from UC Berkeley (2006). His dissertation, "Structured and Parameter-Dependent Eigensolvers with Applications to Resonant MEMS Design" was awarded the 2008 Alston S. Householder Prize for best dissertation in numerical linear algebra in a three year period. He is currently an instructor/postdoc in the department of mathematics at the Courant Institute for Mathematical Sciences at NYU. Home Page
