BIOGRAPHY
Tae Joon Seok has been a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley since 2013. His research interests include optoelectronics, nanophotonics, plasmonics, and silicon photonics. He has published more than 30 papers in leading technical journals and conferences, and holds one U.S. patent.
Dr. Seok is a member of the Optical Society (OSA), and he received the Tingye Li Innovation Prize from OSA in 2015. He also won the Bronze Medal of 2015 Collegiate Inventors Competition sponsored by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Dr. Seok received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 2012.
