Research Interests: Integrated Circuits,
I was born in Tabriz, Iran, the city where I also received my high school diploma in 2006. Then I moved to capital city of Iran, Tehran, for my B.Sc. studies in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, at Sharif University of Technology and graduated from Sharif in 2010.
Afterwords I was admitted to M.Sc. Microsystems and Microelectronics program of University of Twente in Enschede, Netherlands and finished there in 2012.
Then I decided to pursue for a Ph.D. degree in US and joined Prof. Bernhard E. Boser's research group from August 2012 working on optoelectronic systems.
MEMS-Electronic-Photonic Heterogeneous Integration (MEPHI) System Demonstrator: High Resolution FMCW LADAR [BPN665]
In recent years we have seen a growing demand for 3D cameras for applications such as gaming, entertainment, and autonomous vehicles. Present solutions suffer from high power dissipation and large size. This project leverages heterogeneous integration of standard CMOS electronics with high performance optical components including lasers, photo-diodes, interferometers and waveguides to reduce size, cost, and power dissipation.
