Optoelectronic Systems BIOGRAPHY I was born in Tabriz, Iran and received my high school diploma in that city in 2006. Then I moved to capital city of Iran, Tehran, and became B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, from Sharif University of Technology in 2010.
Afterwords I was admitted to Microsystems and Microelectronics M.Sc. program in University of Twente in Enschede, Netherlands and finished there in 2012.
Then I decided to pursue for a Ph.D. degree in USA and joined Prof. Bernhard E. Boser's research group from August 2012 working on optoelectronic systems. MEMS-Electronic-Photonic Heterogeneous Integration (MEPHI) System Demonstrator: High Resolution FMCW LADAR [BPN665] In recent years we have seen a growing demand for 3D cameras for applications such as gaming, entertainment, and autonomous vehicles. Present solutions suffer from high power dissipation and large size. This project leverages wafer-level assembly of standard CMOS electronics with high performance optical components including lasers, photo-diodes, interferometers and waveguides to reduce size, cost and power dissipation. |
