Yumeng Liu, Ph.D. 2017

Advisor: Prof. Lin
Research Interests: Design and manufacturing of MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems); NEMS (Nanoelectromechanical Systems);including issues of electronic transport, electrospinning and solid/fluid mechanics.

BIOGRAPHY
Yumeng (Simon) Liu is a Ph.D. candidate at the UC Berkeley Department of Mechanical Engineering, advised by Prof. Liwei Lin. His research is focused on gas sensing applications using graphene FET at room temperature. His work has been recognized by a Best Paper Award at IEEE Transducers 2017 and several Best Paper/Poster Awards at the BSAC Research Review/IAB as voted by Industrial Members. In 2016 he was a Summer Engineering Intern at Analog Devices. He received his BS in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University in 2012 and his MS from Berkeley in 2014.
