Wireless Sensor Networks in Energy
Wireless sensor networks are seeing some of their first commercial successes in energy-related markets. Wirelessly enable HVAC systems are now saving megaWatts around the state. Utilities around the country and around the globe are installing wireless metering systems for real-time pricing and demand response. Bio-fuels companies are announcing partnerships with wireless sensor vendors to improve productivity. The "killer app" for sensor networks may well be utility-scale solar and wind farm monitoring. This talk will give examples of how BSAC technology is being used in all of these areas.
