MEMS-Based Optical Coherence Tomography Probe

Optical imaging and probing are enabling technologies, allowing the realization of new clinical, screening and research procedures. MEMS based systems will play an important role in the realization and productization of next generation medical imaging systems. In this talk we present some of the challenges associated with implementing scanning systems as well as a brief summary of solutions and technologies developed by AdvancedMEMS.

AdvancedMEMS, founded in Berkeley in 2003, focuses on the productization of biophotonic imaging systems and the development of MEMS technologies for diverse applications. Our clinical imaging probes have been in human clinical trials for approximately 4 years and are currently being incorporated in new research, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
