A 515-MHz CVD Diamond Disk With Q >100,000

MEMS-based resonators are exciting candidates for on-chip filters and
compact, low phase noise oscillators. For such resonators, maximizing
Q value is of critical import, directly enabling high coupling, narrow
bandwidth in filters, and low phase noise in oscillators. In this
talk, novel designs for capacitive transduced CVD diamond resonators will be
presented which have been shown to produce record setting Q values in
excess of 100K at a frequency of 515MHz.
