Fall 2010 IAB - Overview
September 6 to 8, 2010
Every year in March and September, Industrial Members, Faculty, and BSAC Researchers meet on the beautiful and historic University of California, Berkeley campus for the three-day IAB Meeting. Each day of the meeting presents different opportunities to learn about and discuss BSAC Research:

Wednesday Morning or Friday Afternoon (2 sessions): Hands-on Wireless Networking Workshop:
GINA Micro Development Environment and OpenWSN Networking Stack: organized by Prof. Kris Pister.

ATTENDANCE: BSAC Industrial Members only. Pre-registration required.
Wednesday Afternoon: Directions and Trends Seminar: MEMS Commercialization: Launching the Next Innovation-Based Businesses, a technology review session conducted by University of California faculty and guest speakers on selected areas of research followed by a roundtable discussion. Great opportunities to mix with other members and faculty.
ATTENDANCE: BSAC Industrial Members; MIG Members; BSAC Directors; Affiliated Faculty; BSAC Postdoctoral Researchers.

Thursday: Research Review,
during which BSAC Researchers present current, in-progress reports on all 100+ BSAC projects in a single-track presentation format with additional poster sessions.
ATTENDANCE: Closed session. BSAC Industrial Members; BSAC Directors; Affiliated Faculty; BSAC Researchers.

Thursday Evening: Awards Banquet honoring the researchers.

Friday Morning: Industrial Advisory Board Meeting, during which two designated voting participants of each Industrial Member Company discuss and assess Center directions and policy and provide feedback to the BSAC Directors.
ATTENDANCE: BSAC Industrial Member Points-of-Contact (or Designates); BSAC Directors.

BSAC Industrial Member registration is $250 for the Seminar, Research Review, Banquet and IAB Meeting; $500 for all of the preceding plus the Wednesday morning WSN Workshop.
MIG Member registration ($250) is for only the Wednesday afternoon Seminar and parking.
