Ground Transportation: Bart, Train/Subway, Bus, Taxicabs
Set your GPS to: 1858 Scenic Ave. Berkeley CA 94709 (cross street Hearst
Ave.)
See directions below to Hearst Avenue. After you turn right onto Hearst
Ave.:
Turn left (northeast) onto LeConte Ave. (second left; uphill to the right).
Turn right (south) onto Scenic Ave. (first right).
The parking structure is on the left, at the corner of Scenic Ave. and
Hearst Ave.
Enter on the lower level (Level 2, ""Hourly Public Parking") and receive your
permit from the attendant.
Sutardja Dai Hall is one and a half blocks up Hearst Ave.
Set your GPS to: 2586 Hearst Ave. Berkeley CA 94709 (cross street Leroy
Ave.)
From Northbound Highway 101 (SF Airport/Daly City)
Follow U.S. 101 North and then switch to I-80 East, and take it across the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge
Stay left as you get off the Bay Bridge and take I-80 East heading toward Berkeley & Sacramento
Exit at University Avenue. Veer to your right, heading
East, towards the Berkeley Hills
Continue East on University Avenue for approximately
1.5 miles to Oxford Street
Turn Left onto Oxford Street
Turn right onto Hearst Avenue

From Westbound 24 (Contra Costa County)
Take 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel
From Highway 24 exit at Telegraph Ave. and take a right on Telegraph.
Continue on Telegraph until it ends at the South side of campus on Bancroft Avenue.
Make a left on Bancroft Avenue
Turn right on Oxford Street.
Turn right onto Hearst Avenue
Sutardja Dai Hall is located on the

From Northbound Highway 13
Highway 13 ends and becomes Tunnel Road
Continue on Tunnel Road. Tunnel Road
becomes Ashby Avenue near the Claremont Hotel
Turn right on College Avenue
Turn left on Bancroft Avenue
Turn right on Oxford Street.
Turn right onto Hearst Avenue

From I-80 East or West (San Francisco, Sacramento, Richmond, Vallejo)
Exit at University Avenue
Continue East on University Avenue for approximately
1.5 miles to Oxford Street (the Western edge of the campus).
Turn left onto Oxford Street
Turn right onto Hearst Avenue

Exit I-80 East (Berkeley/Sacramento)
Exit at University Avenue
Continue East on University Avenue for approximately

Stay in left center lanes
Exit 80 East (to Berkeley)
