Abstract |
The goal of this project is to develop methods to easily integrate electrodes and electrical interconnects into hot embossed plastic
microfluidic devices. Hot embossing allows for inexpensive rapid prototyping of microfluidic chips in a laboratory environment using
a method that is easily scalable for industrial production. Carbon nanotube electronics are optically transparent, do not require high-
temperature processing, and are amenable to a wide variety of chemical modifications, making them ideal for this application.
Methods of patterning nanotubes on plastics using low-temperature printing methods will be investigated and the resulting devices
characterized. |
